I became a victim of the Affordable Care Act. Cataracts ran in my family so I knew I was likely to get them. I had an insurance policy that would have covered the surgery with a $599 deductible, but when "Obamacare" became the law, the insurance policy was cancelled.

The only ACA policy I could afford has a $6,500 deductible. The surgery is going to run about $5,000. So the insurance won't pay anything. I have some money set aside, but it isn't enough. I'm hoping that I can raise the balance of the money here.
