Hi, My name is Bev, and I'm fundraising for Gordon.

Since the early 2000s, he's been earning a modest living copy-editing academic documents, often written by non-native English speakers. This occupation is now under threat from AI, and the work coming his way has drastically decreased, as has his income.

He's had a number of medical and financial difficulties in the past 18 months. Although his medical issues have been resolved, and he is in better health than ever, he now has no financial reserves to fall back on. He's caught in the "pay the rent or eat?" dilemma.

While he is reorganizing his life to meet his new reality, he needs some short term help.

Gordon is a smart guy, so I know he will come out of this okay, if he can just get through the next little while.
