My name is Cathy and last Friday, our family lost someone irreplaceable. My uncle John “Newf” to everyone who crossed his path, passed suddenly from a heart attack at just 63. It still doesn’t feel real. He was his family’s rock, the one who steadied everyone else, and the person people turned to when they needed a hand or a bit of strength to get through.
He leaves behind his wife, two children, dear son in law, daughter in law, and three grandchildren who loved him deeply. On top of their grief, they’re now facing the tough practical realities that come with a sudden loss. Their family home is only half-finished, and the bills John carried are now sitting on his wife’s shoulders at a time when she can barely catch her breath.
We’re raising funds to give her some stability helping finish the home they built together and cover the immediate bills so she isn’t forced into financial hardship while grieving. Any support, no matter the size, will go directly to easing the burden on a family that has already given so much of themselves to others.
