I am not one to ask for help with much at all and have always been super independent with my finances and responsibilities as an adult, so I really hate to do this. Many of you know and love Gordie, like your own. This is obviously an unexpected expense and is not ideal (for anyone in this economy…) at the moment. I am asking for a small donation towards a surgery Gordie will very much unfortunately need to continue living his best functional pain free life with us. His surgery was estimated to cost approximately $5,000.

Unfortunately this is not something that can be held off due to more bone formations creating to try and compensate for the current injury leading to arthritis, increased pain, and incorrect “healing”. I say healing lightly because this type of injury (“Ruptured Cranial Cruciate Ligament”) technically does not heal, and just compensates by growing more bone. In just 1 week of having this injury he has already developed incorrect bone growth, It is fast to progress. This also increases the chance of the opposing leg ligament to tear by 50% leading to even more difficulty walking/possibly no movement at all which he is already very much struggling with doing on his own.
