Hello! My name is Mich. I’m a mom of two boys, a wife, and the creator of Goooey Treats. I know GoFundMe isn’t usually where you go to raise money for a business, especially with so much tragedy happening in the world, but as a mom struggling to keep a roof over my family’s head, I’m here asking for help, not just to get by, but to build something that can give my family a better future.
Right now, we’re in the same boat as a lot of people during these tough times. Our current economy is not the easiest to survive in, especially as a minority woman trying to build a business. Grant funding isn’t awarded to everyone, and I understand there’s only so much to go around. However, instead of breaking down and giving up, I’m staying faithful, positive, and focused on what we truly believe can become the next big dessert brand. I’m reaching out now, hoping that with faith and the power of asking, I can find people willing to help keep my dream alive so we can move closer to building a worldwide brand.
This isn’t easy to do, putting our struggles out in public, but I’m not ashamed to keep it real. We’re all human, and we all need help sometimes, and I’m not afraid to ask for it.
In February 2025, I lost my income and couldn’t find a good job, so I turned to my talent: baking. That’s when we decided Goooey needed to be our focus. For the last four months as a new bakery business, with over five years of making these Rice Krispy treats, we’ve put everything we have into making Goooey our only source of income. It’s crazy because we’ve never had a bakery or sold food before. All I had was a talent for baking and some marketing skills to save costs while growing the brand.
Within just four months, we’ve learned so much and accomplished things we never imagined, like landing an interview on KTLA 5 News. All of this keeps us pushing forward and not giving up.
Even though we have lots of happy customers and our pop-ups sell out, I just don’t have the money to open our first location. And that’s what franchise investors want to see: a proven, successful store. So I’m here asking for help raising $50,000 to open the very first Goooey Treats shop, a place that can show everyone what Goooey is really about and prove it can grow into something bigger one day.
Every donor’s name and amount will be laminated on a big poster in the lobby of our first store. We hope you’ll come by one day to see it and sign next to your donation.
