Producing a Dream: Goonies in Agony, A Short Film

Donativo protegido
Goonies In Agony serves as a cautionary tale for how you deal with the struggles involving mental health. There isn’t a right or wrong answer on how depression is handled, but it’s important to handle it in your own way compared to ignoring the struggles. Goonies In Agony is the story of two young men, and how they choose to deal with their own unique struggles.

Maximillian Wood is a Raleigh based filmmaker and podcast host. Max enjoys writing and directing films that bring his voice and passions to life and to the forefront. He believes that every story is worth telling.

Creating a film is one of the most fulfilling experiences in life, however it’s also an expensive experience. Production costs include the remaining camera equipment, transportation &
housing for talent, sound & music mixing, securing location to film, craft, and distribution fees for film festivals. In order to bring this unique and personal film to life, we're asking for your help in raising $3,000.

Director’s statement - Since age 11, I’ve been obsessed with picking up a camera and being able to express myself through whatever aspect ratio. Thirteen years later, that obsession has only continued to grow.

Throughout the last three years under Galaxy Of Film, I’ve met countless people who have changed my life on this journey. From colleagues like Danilo Wyatt, podcast hosts like Brian Malone, actors like Nijal Morgan, and celebrity guests like Uwe Boll, everybody we’ve come across and worked with has been such a blessing. Together we’ve been able to release over 140 episodes of our weekly film podcast, several short films across all three of our state wide divisions, and countless memories.

Goonies In Agony is underway in pre-production. We will be shooting this November and December. We’re in the final phases of casting and location scouting.

Truly any and all contributions help this project immensely. Sharing this post helps, and supporting us by watching and listening to our content helps!

A special thank you to all of my incredible colleagues, friends, family, and audience members for the endless support throughout the years. Words can not express how much all of you mean to me. My career wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you.

Alright, let’s make a movie!
