When worldly possessions become vessels for memories, a woman fears letting them go.

Welcome to GoodWill Short Film's GoFundMe. Our film is currently in post-production, meaning we've done the hard part! We've filmed this beautiful story and it's all ready to be edited, colored, and then layered with animation and music to finish the story and send it out to festivals, as well as make it available to watch online for our supporters (and eventually... the world).

We are asking for more donations to pay the creative artists who are working on the film behind the scenes. Your donation helps us complete the work, and in turn, you become an active participant in Austin Filmmaking!

Every dollar brings us closer to finishing our film and honoring this story. Here’s how your contribution makes a direct impact:

$3,000 → Covers editing and sound mixing, bringing the film to life with clarity and flow.

$4,000 → Adds color correction, crafting a visual palette that reflects the film’s emotional tone.

$5,000→ Secures deposits to begin animation and storyboarding. These sequences weave Nan’s memories with the objects from her past, completing the film's vision

$ 7,500--> Finishes animation, final payments to artists, including music composition and original song. We will be able to have a completed film when we hit this number!

Why? Because we often overlook the pain our elderly family members face when they are asked to downsize into a smaller place; whether assisted living or a Senior community living center. We hope our film inspires an empathetic conversation with loved ones facing similar challenges.
