GOODS FOR KIDS
Donation protected
In these unprecedented times, millions of people worldwide have lost their jobs, kids have been stranded at home, and all things have come to a halt. Despite this, people have gotten time to connect with their families and have adjusted to life during this pandemic. However, what about kids who live in institutions, orphanages, and broken homes? They don't have a family to laugh or play games with, neither do they have the opportunity to learn as there are no resources for them to connect with others online.
Our friend Dr. Bhavneet Bharti (Professor of Paediatrics, PGIMER, Chandigarh,India ) and her associates have taken upon themselves to take care of these children, giving them a safe place to live, while also trying to engage them in all sorts of activities. She is selflessly engaged in caring for kids in two institutions-Ashiana and Snehalya in Chandigarh. These are child care institutions for girls and boys respectively. They have nearly 300 orphan, abandoned and surrendered children in need of care and protection . Their age ranges from birth to 18 years. Most have adverse childhood experiences.
Due to the current conditions, there has been a dearth of materials to work with and kids are engaging in a rather destructive activities, since donations and interactions between people have dwindled. So, we are asking you to consider donating to the GoFundMe page that has been created for this cause. We want to raise money to buy certain essential things for these vulnerable children, so that they continue to be engaged in meaningful activities and stay mentally and physically safe !
