The Album
"It Don’t Mean Much ‘Til It Does"
The timing feels right. The album sits in a rare pocket—rooted in boom bap but expanded through thoughtful sound selection and a clear album arc, not just singles made for quick consumption. Across 36 minutes, hard, intricate drums meet warm, melodic funk—creating space for the vocals to lead while still giving the music depth and movement.
This isn’t just rappers spitting bars—there’s intentional musicality, a sincere consideration of the listeners' path, and care behind every moment. In the writing process, the lyrics just fell out the mouth—raw, unforced, reflective, and honest—and every verse is packed with good medicine.
It’s the kind of record that, with focused listening, can walk you from the streets that helped to build us, to where we are, and toward where we’re trying to go. It reveals more over time…

The Pitch ⚾
We know money is tight. Gas is expensive. Life is lifing—we're music fans too.
Two just men working in careers that serve communities, raising families… and somehow still finding the time to labor over this music. Late nights. Juggling schedules. Real sacrifices—all with the hope of giving you 36 minutes of something meaningful.
You know what this is…
Passion.
A love for Hip Hop culture.
A desire to contribute something real to life’s soundtrack.
The Ask
The music is done—complete, and it knocks. Your generosity can help us promote and share this album with intention.
Help us get it to the people it’s meant for?
We’ve been cooking up some innovative approaches to promoting this project—grassroots, people-first rollouts, NFC-enabled merch for music sharing, a blend of AI-powered and analog content, and other creative ways of putting the music directly in your hands. Most importantly, our focus is on building real connection beyond social media and the algorithm.
Help us connect as artists, audience, friends, and fans first—and from there, the album will find its way to the streaming platforms.
Every contribution makes a difference. Thank you for considering our request for support—if you choose to give, please know we’re truly grateful and honored.

PS. Being anonymous is all love—but we’ll be inviting supporters into some special moments along the way and finding small ways to show our appreciation. So let us know who you are if you want to be included.

More Info About Us
.......................................................................................................................................
GoodPeoples is an American conscious Hip Hop duo out of Phoenix, Arizona—two emcees, Open Hands and Diversoul, brought together not just by music, but by service.
We met in the field, building points of unity and serving communities—using Hip Hop as a tool for youth development, connection, and healing.
This didn’t start in studios.
It started in real life.
Our Roots
We each come from over two decades of deep Hip Hop culture.
Open Hands — forged in the Seattle underground, connected to grassroots movements like 206 Zulu, where Hip Hop is lived, not just performed. Hands went on to build deep community roots in his subsequent homes of the Big Island, Hawaii, Virginia, and now AZ.
Diversoul — rooted in Arizona’s underground, a founding member of FRMWRK, an international Bahá’í Faith–inspired collective using arts as a portal for individual and social transformation
We’ve walked our own paths—dropped projects, built with communities, and paid dues in real spaces. We are not just here to rhyme and report—but to build, and connect, to guide, to learn, to hold space.
To pass something on.
The Team Behind the Sound
In addition to Open Hands and Diversoul, this project was recorded in Portland OR. and shaped by a trusted circle of producers and engineers who brought depth, intention, and craft to every layer:
Mike Day (Producer & Studio Musician, Seattle/Northern California) — a quiet musical genius with broad experience and deep musicality. His work is rooted in rich, organic jazz, soul, and funk soundscapes, with a sharp ear for instrumentation and selection. Keepin' your head noddin—that’s all the affirmation he needs.
Phreewil (Producer, Seattle/Hawaii) — provides the rhythmic heartbeat with soulful, hard-hitting instrumentation grounded in boom bap tradition. A prolific emcee himself, he knows how to cook up beats exactly the way rappers and audiences like ’em.
Anthony Natale (Executive Producer, Portland) — our day one. He saw the vision and helped bring it to life. His steady support and belief in the project made this album possible.
Andy Shartle (Recording & Mix Engineer, Kagami Studio, Portland) — helped capture and shape the foundation of the album, turning raw ideas into cohesive records with clarity and intention.
John Keenen (Mastering Engineer, JCK Music Productions, Phoenix) — brought the final polish, ensuring the album hits with both knock and clarity across any system you’re listening on.
