The Story Behind The Film
- This is a passion project for us, it is based on a story that happened with my two best friends, one of them who sadly passed away three years ago, so this is my way of keeping his memory alive and for him to live on in what he enjoyed the most, movies.
About The Film
- "Goodnight, Mr. Frank" is a spine-chilling short film about friendship, isolation, and the terror of the unknown. When Jamie and Charlie visit their estranged friend Sam at his secluded lake house, they uncover a horrifying ritual tied to a malevolent entity named Mr. Frank. What starts as an attempt to reconnect spirals into a night of supernatural dread, forcing them to confront their fears and fractured bonds.
Synopsis
- Jamie and Charlie visit their estranged friend Sam, who has been living in isolation at a mysterious lake house. From the moment they arrive, Sam’s paranoia is evident: he warns them to leave, repeatedly tells them to say goodnight to "Mr. Frank," and keeps the house cloaked in darkness, with mirrors covered and windows blocked. What begins as disbelief on Jamie and Charlie’s part turns into terror as supernatural events unfold.
- Sam reveals that Mr. Frank, an entity that haunts the house, uses reflective surfaces to manifest. Despite their skepticism, Jamie's refusal to properly acknowledge the entity unleashes its wrath. Mr. Frank begins tormenting the group, exploiting their fears, manipulating time, and isolating them in the house’s twisted reality. As tensions rise, the friends face a horrifying truth: Mr. Frank feeds on their defiance and disbelief.
- When Charlie and Jamie succumb to Mr. Frank’s power, their reflections vanish from mirrors, and their humanity is replaced by hollow-eyed, smiling specters. Sam, helpless and resigned to the cycle of torment, is left to endure as the last semblance of normalcy in a house where time and reality bend to Mr. Frank’s will.
