Hello, my name is Derick and my nephew's name is Christopher Goodness. Christopher is a 10-year-old boy who is in fifth grade and he has been diagnosed with stage 4 Ewing's sarcoma. Ewing sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissue around the bones. Christopher will go through 12 weeks of chemo then have surgery and then back to chemo. This whole process will take 9 months to a year. Christopher lives with his mother, father, and older sister. Mom and dad are hard-working people who have normal everyday jobs. Sister is a bright cheerful girl who loves softball. Christopher is more of a gamer than a sports loving guy. This is not the life that Mom and Dad had planned for their beautiful family. However as we all know life does not always go as planned. I am starting this fundraiser to help with the day-to-day expenses that this enormous change in plans will create.
