Good Voyage Fire (South Park Seattle)

Dearest South Park and extended Good Voyage x Left Bank community-

On Nov 19th at 9pm, we received a call from a neighbor that they saw smoke and heard the Good Voyage alarm going off. We (Campbell and Amanda owners of Good Voyage) ran down the alley that connects our house home to our business home and saw flames and smoke pouring into the sky. The firefighters arrived at the same time. They got there quickly and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes and businesses. As we were closed for the evening, all employees are physically safe. We are so lucky and yet utterly devastated.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, the fire was an electrical fire that originated in the ceiling of the supply room. While the building owner is working to rebuild and repair what he can structurally, everything inside is damaged beyond repair and is a total loss. We need to focus on our staff, our business, and community needs.

We never thought we’d be be here, but we are humbly asking you for your help. While we are insured, it does not cover the insurmountable costs coming our way nor does it include loss of wages for our incredible staff. It is also a lengthy process with no sure timeline or outcome.

We are determined to rebuild.
