Dave Lawrence, owner of That 50's Barbershop, has been a fixture of Nanaimo for many years. He has been running his business from downtown Nanaimo for over a decade. During that time, he has been an active member of the community. His Fresh Start Fundraiser, a campaign to raise school supplies for kids, is now on its 4th year. And for the last five years Dave has been doing community work through the Victoria Crescent Association.
After Dave's hernia operation, he was held at the hospital for 4 days. He couldn’t breath properly, had lots of tests and found out he has severe sleep apnea. After going to a sleep clinic, Dave was shocked to discover that he stops breathing 70 TIMES per hour, every hour.
Dave currently has a cpap machine on loan for 30 days. This machine has been extremely helpful, but is very expensive. This is a guy that gives and doesn't ask - so let's help him out but donating funds to purchase his own machine.
