As some of you may know, a local family experienced a house fire on November 10th. They have had to leave their home and will not be able to return for the foreseeable future. The extent of the damage and loss is, at present, undetermined but we know that they will incur a variety of unexpected expenses as a result of the fire. For the sake of their privacy, I am trying to avoid identifying the folks involved - although some of you will know the family to which I'm referring.
I think at heart, we need to rally and support each other in times of crisis - it's one of the beautiful things about being human. Please help support this family during this difficult time, if you're able.
My husband and I are friends of this family. We have let them know that we would be reaching out to the community in this fashion, and they have given us permission to do so. Every penny received will be provided directly to the family to be used at their discretion.
