Good Fund Me for Gerald Darby

It is with heavy hearts that my brother William Darby and I Lauren Darby announce the sudden death of our father, Gerald Darby.

Our dad left this life suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

The family is still trying to chronicle the track of care he received; from admission to one hospital, transfer to a rehab facility out of county and then transferred to an out of county hospital where he passed.

There is no Will, Durable power of attorney or Health directive left by Gerald. We as his children have the grime task of sorting through his belongings; trying to locate personal papers such as our dad' birth certificate, social security card, etc. We are also in the process of applying to be a surrogate for his estate to close out financial matters; My brother and I are trying to discover any assets which can be used to satisfy outstanding debts and/or close active accounts. Right now the immediate need is to have his remains removed from the morgue where dad has been since January 6th., and have a quiet cremation. A collage of his life may be featured later when the belongings have been sorted and if enough documents can be found.

My brother, William and I respectfully and humbly ask for the communities help in the form of monetary donations to helping with the cremation, funds to clear out a storage unit before the unit is auctioned away, a post office bx. cleaned out before his mail is removed for nonpayment. Cell phone, car insurance, and the like. William and I are trying to gather all of his life and belongings in one place, to put closure to our dad' life here on Earth. You see, we found out just recently that our dad became homeless.

We are trying to keep the request for help to a bare minimum. We thank you for your care, kindness and generosity. Anything received is very much appreciated. William and I and his grandchildren are very thankful for the love and support from the community, his church, classmates, friends & family
