Appropriately named "Gogo" by her grandkids, my mom, Catherine Westman, is known to rival the Energizer Bunny with her energy and enthusiasm. She's bringing her trademark level of faith, optimism, dedication and energy into her new season as she battles cancer. This time, we need some help though.
Her recommended treatment protocol includes extremely costly IV treatments to defeat the cancer without invasive and debilitating surgery and chemotherapy, which would be particularly risky in her situation.
These treatments are not covered by insurance, and they're far too large for us to fund out of pocket, so we're taking the humbling and prayerful step to call for help. The funds will be used to pay for daily and weekly treatments over the next several months, beginning as soon as possible.
Cancer is scary and time isn't on our side, but we are full of hope and humility and we are prayerfully optimistic that Gogo will be around for her grandkids for many, many healthy years.
Any amount you might be able to contribute will help and will go directly to the payment for my mom's treatment. We are deeply, deeply humbled and grateful for any help at all.
