Mattie just went through emergency Vet surgery and is now out and recovering. Long story short, he developed bloat (GDV) which is common for large breed and deep chested dogs like him. I had to rush him to the Vet Emergency hospital in Turlock. Fortunately, I caught the signs/symptoms early on that prevented any severe complications and permanent damage to his vital organs. Per the Vet surgeon, proactiveness played a vital role with this very time-sensitive emergency that could have led to his demise.
I’m a foster for the NorCal Weimaraner rescue and have fostered 11 dogs and Mattie is my 1st “foster fail”. Funds will be used primarily for surgery costs and recovery supplies and donation back to the Rescue Org.
We appreciate your help and healing and loving thoughts!
