Gonzalo Vargas

Hello, my name is Terrence O’Donnell, and it is with tremendous sadness that I ask for your generosity to help the family of my recently deceased friend, Gonzalo Vargas. Gonzalo suffered from a genetic heart condition causing a tear in his aorta. He had multiple procedures done on his heart during his lifetime, but the last one ended fatally, culminating in his passing this past Father’s Day. Gonzalo was an incredible family man, and he has left behind his beautiful wife Carolina Maldonado-Cortez and his amazing daughter Caroline, good friend to my daughter Esperanza. As you can imagine, they are absolutely devastated. Gonzalo’s friendship became one I cherished because he was a hard-working, immigrant, family man whose story inspired me and made me feel like I was somehow closer to my ancestors who came to our great country willing to do anything to give their family a better life. While Gonzalo’s familia remains rich in love, your generosity will go a long way to help a very special working class family. We thank you for your willingness to help during this tragic time.
