As many of you may have heard the Gonzalez Family suffered the loss of their home on December 23 just before Christmas. If you have not heard this is what happened in Jennifer's own words...
"Peace out 2018! You started off great, had a few bumps in the middle and you ended in a way I never imagined. Many of you already know the news of our home fire, but on Dec 23, while out of town, our house caught on fire and we lost everything. It was an electrical fire caused by an extension cord. We are safe, healthy and doing our best to stay positive. We have started the process of moving forward and all we really ask now is for prayers. The kids are pretty shook up. Zander thinks a dragon got his house, but Sophie is totally aware. We tried to make Christmas, Sophie’s 8th birthday and New Year as good as we could. Thank you to all our neighbors who stepped up with alerting authorities and their water hoses, thank you to the firemen from La Habra and east Whittier and thank you to the police in La Habra as well. Our family is so grateful and so thankful for EVERYTHING! 2019 will be our year. We are looking forward to seeing what the new year holds!!
The journey for them has just begun as they try to replace all their belongings and try to get help the kids get back to a new normal life. While insurance will replace items, there is no way to estimate what it will and will not cover and this all takes time. The family needs items now and if you can help with that effort, it would be much appreciated!
