Dear friends of Carol and Marc,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Carol Abrahams has been diagnosed with cancer of the lower colon. We don’t know the stage yet, but I’m sure you’ll agree that "IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!!"
She will be undergoing chemo/radiation starting on Monday, November 10th for six weeks and then will need at least another six weeks to recover.
Many of us want to help in some way, but it’s hard to know what’s appropriate.
We are reaching out to let you know that we have created the ABRAHAMS FAMILY FUND in order to raise money for Marc’s care.
As you probably know, Carol does a lot of heavy lifting and caretaking to assist Marc with his ALS. Given her recent diagnosis, they will need to hire additional aides to take over her role for the next several months.
This fund is unrestricted and will provide the family the flexibility to get the help or anything else they need during this difficult period.
Cost of Marc’s Home Health Aid:
One Hour: $ 40
One Day: $ 320
One Week: $1,600
One Month: $6,400
If you feel moved to participate, please give as generously as you can. The amount of each donation will remain anonymous, but Carol has asked to be informed of the name of each donor.
As details emerge, we will send out an update on Carol’s progress. Until then, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
