Hi,
My name is Natasha Clare. I'm a college student and have been accepted to study abroad in a 6 week expedition and internship program in New Zealand with Massey University this Summer 2019.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an aspiring TV/film professional! As a media production student, the program's Creative Expression and Digital Media internship track couldn't be more suited to my interests, growing skill set and ultimately my long term career goals. I envision that, provided I accept all opportunities for real world experience that I am offered, I will be a confident and competent screenwriter, director and as a whole, a creative.
Additionally, I find it important to mention that this trip will be my first overseas journey without the company of family. It will be my first time ever landing in New Zealand, and, it will be my first time living with fellow interns, and in a country foreign to me!
All these firsts can make a person squeamish but for myself I'm grateful and extremely excited to take a new route of independence. I hope to make lasting connections and come away with broadened perspectives, and an increase in creative and technical skill.
Donations to my gofundme fundraiser will help me offset the costs of : course tuition (8 U.S. credits) and program fee which includes accommodations, New Zealand health insurance, SUNY international travel health insurance, internship placement, group activities and excursions, orientation, airport pickup, roundtrip airfare between New York and New Zealand, and personal expenses to pay for meals and any additional activities not already covered.
