Gone too soon. Remembering Greg Campbell

Last weekend was supposed to be a fun getaway for Greg and Jessica, they traveled to Humboldt to visit family. None of us could’ve imagined the tragedy that would transpire instead. Sunday night Greg and Jessica were enjoying the night at Bear River Casino. Jessica last saw Greg walking down the hill toward the gas station around 1:45am. He never returned…she had no idea that would be the last time she saw the love of her life. Hours later Jessica received the news, in that split second the course of her family’s lives would be forever changed. Greg had been hit by a car on the highway shortly after 2am the morning of 11-1-2021. We were later told by the coroner Greg had a complete blockage in his coronary artery and suffered a heart attack. They believe Greg became disoriented, ended up on the highway, collapsed, and was then struck by the vehicle.

If you knew Greg you know he was almost always smiling and if you needed a laugh he was the man to make it happen. Greg was a loving and devoted dad to his children: Imara, Adia, Kelis, and Hasani. He was Jessica’s partner in life for 25 years. He was a hard worker and the main provider for his family.

I started this GoFundMe to relieve some of the financial burden for the memorial Greg would want, and deserves. Also to help ease the financial stress for Jessica and the kids during this difficult time of grieving. We sincerely appreciate anything you may be able to help with.

Greg’s soul has left us here on earth, but his memory will live forever.
