Samuel & Katie Fisher, a young Amish couple that live here in Cumberland County, VA, owners of Golden Valley Farms, LLC lost their BIG barn in the storm Sunday night.
Lightening struck the barn and it burned, destroying everything. It took firefighters several hours to put the fire out. Thankfully we are close to our local fire department and they were able to respond quickly.
This barn housed all of the supplies needed to operate our Herd Share Program. This includes everything they had in the cooler that housed the Milk and all the dairy products they sell, it also includes a walk in freezer full of meat, from floor to ceiling.
Samuel & Katie are simple people, they don't ask for much, they trust God to provide.
