Hello all. My girlfriend recently purchased a Golden Retriever puppy off of Craig's List (12/11/20). The inconsiderate and irresponsible owners sold her a sick puppy, who was diagnosed with canine parvovirus the day my girlfriend got her. The survival rate of puppies with parvovirus are 85-90% with proper medical care; however, a day in an animal hospital costs, at the minimum, $3,000. My girlfriend is 22 years old and does not make sufficient money. She cannot afford treatment in an animal hospital and is unwilling to ask for money from strangers. She and her roommates are doing everything they can to keep the puppy, named Nala, hydrated and fed while in their home. The chances of her survival outside of a hospital are as little as 10%. Your funds would go directly towards providing optimal care in an animal hospital for Nala, hopefully saving her life. My girlfriend and I would be incredibly appreciative to see Nala survive this tough illness, push through the hardships, and live on to bring joy to everyone that she would meet later in life. Given that the most important days to combat this virus are within 72 hours of diagnosis, these funds are needed immediately. I know it is a lot to ask, but even a day in a hospital would bring reprieve to my girlfriend's anxiety and greatly increase the chance of the puppies survival.
