We are raising money for a 25-30 minute short story called GOLD. GOLD is about a young athlete named Jaxon who aspires to be a archery tag champion. He and his teammate & best friend Vee come from humble means & are playing against teams with much better equipment. The antagonist in this story is sort of a modern day pirate. His name is Goldie & he runs a Thief syndicate. His team has all the best equipment and they win every year. Jaxon and his friend Vee find out where a stash of gold has been tucked and they set out to & successfully steal from the pirates themselves. The story then goes to follow Jaxon and Vee as they run into changes from their new found wealth. Within the story will be love and timeless life lessons.
The story is written by Jordan Skipper (myself) & Wesley Taylor who are cofounders of Our Time Films (www.watchourtimefilms.com). Our Time Films is a narrative film company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have made short films like The Divine Living Series (https://www.watchourtimefilms.com/divineliving3) & Hella Delicious (https://www.watchourtimefilms.com/helladelicious). We have done all of this without raising capital or having much resources behind us. This required a whole lot of collaboration and hard work. Regardless of the up hill challenge we face, we have proven to finish the projects we start & have shown to be extremely resourceful with our limited resources.
The money we raise will be used to rent locations, set design, feed actors and crew members, provide a stipend for those who need to travel, hire a VFX creator (form some dope as explosion scene in the beginning of the film) & much more. I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish with our limited resources but I want to take all of our skills and knowledge we have acquired over the last 3 years and bring in the right people to help us tell this story the way it should be told.
