Like clubs globally, COVID-19 has stripped the Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club of 2020’s fundraising $’s when our hosting event calendar disappeared. Do we give up? No way!!! We owe it to our juniors, para athlete paddlers, novices and elites to fight just as hard (off the water) to keep our club alive & replace our budgeted fundraising $’s through any way we can.
Our Save Our Club ‘GoFundMe’ Campaign isn’t just a one-way-street – we know times are tough for many and we’re keen to reward those who help us by donating through special “Thank You” rewards & acknowledgements.
Donation Reward # 1: For those who can manage a donation of $50 or more we’re holding a draw to award naming rites (for 12 months) for: 1st place an OC6 and 2nd& 3rd places for 2 x OC3 canoes. Plus there are 124 seats cockpit seats ready to have your family or business name sign-written adjacent (thank you Kevin & Tracey from KRT Signage).
Donation Reward # 2: For those donating less than $50 (& every little bit counts), your name goes in a draw to win 1 of 3 watches – each valued at $100 (thank you H & S Jewellers).
Additionally, all valued donatees will have their name displayed in our Coomera Clubhouse on our Save Our Club Campaign Board & receive a 2020 commemorative thank you certificate.
Our club was founded in 2014 to share the courageous spirit of outrigging with GC families, & this same courage has seen our club enjoy success both competitively, in membership culture & now in our Save Our Club Campaign.
