Denise & Jeff going Over the Edge

Jeff and I have decided to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in San Diego, CA. We are going to go Over the Edge for brain cancer! That's right, we are both going to rappel down 35 stories (365 feet) from high above at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in an effort to raise critical funds for brain cancer research.  This event is happening on Saturday, October 17th which just so happens to be 3 days before my 35th birthday. It's hard to believe it's been two years since my diagnosis of Grade 4 Glioblastoma (GBM).
There's no better way to celebrate life, and my journey through cancer, than to go Over the Edge for such a great cause.  

    We have learned first hand the cost of living with cancer.  Besides all of the risks of cancer and its treatments, the medical expenses always keep coming. We feel that this trip is extremely important for us to be part of for many reasons. We are not only fighting for us, but also for those living with this deadly disease, as well as those who have already lost their lives.

   Jeff and I are asking for help to raise money for brain cancer research and our travel expenses to get there.  We are looking for our friends, family, and supporters to help us hit our goal of $5000 plus. We would be using $2000 for our travel expenses (flights, hotel, food) and the rest will go directly to brain cancer research. Every little bit counts from $5 to $500. Please take time to watch the attached video from this event last year where they were able to raise over $200,000.
