A decade ago I asked my girlfriend to move to Virginia so we could start a life together. She left her Family back in Cali, and her friends in NYC to be with me.

We bounced around a great Norfolk neighborhood. We got married in 2008, and that same year she took a backseat so I could follow my dream of going to culinary school and building a career in the kitchen.   Along the way I obtained the job of my dreams.  She worked her way back to her dream of earning a degree in fashion -- all of this while starting a family.

After living in Norfolk, VA for 10 years, we're going -going, back- back to Dominique's home state of California, to pursue a fresh start for our family.  This means, i have to give up the job I love so much, for the WONDERFUL woman I love more than all. I'd follow her anywhere on the globe. We are planning to pile up the family (2 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 infant) in our Mini Cooper, for the 4 day cross country trip (YIKES!). However, it came to our attention that we have to leave MUCH earlier than we planned, and some car issues and other financial strains are making our proposed move more challenging than anticipated.

We will be eternally grateful for the boost that will help us safely trek across the great states. If not, Going back to cali will be more like..." Nah, I don't think so."
