Texas Bound

My name is Lyndsey and I don't even know where to start with this, so here it goes.

For starters, thank you to everyone who gave me the moral support. I needed to uproot my whole life from Texas to come to Oregon, or at least this one specific spot in Oregon, but unfortunately, due to circumstances, it did not pan out for a multitude of reasons.

The best way I can explain is to what happened is, is the job that I was brought up here to do was not the job they actually needed me to do, so to speak. I was not given the ample time to fully reach the creativity they wanted me to reach, when an actuality, they were looking for another line cook. Now to be real, I wouldn't have minded that in the slightest if they had been up front with me about it.

Topped with the nepotism and overall lack of willingness to change it accept change (or accept faults) I fully feel I can't work in a place where I won't feel strong in, let alone feel like the scapegoat when things go wrong, even if I'm not present at that time.

I uprooted a stable job and a stable life for this opportunity and to have it crashed down like this is a bit of a downer....not even a bit of a downer, a heavy blow. Though I only have myself to blame because, you learn from failures and this was a huge failure on my part.

As far as what to do now, my husband and I have decided that we are going back to. Texas. The amount of stress and lies and frustration is not worth the effort to try and make this keep going. I'm dealing with a major hit to my pride and the fact that people I trusted implicitly really screwed me over. But it is what it is.

I'll take this lesson and move forward eventually. I am still going to bake my cookies and I am still going to do my damnedest to promote them and get them out into the word, but for now, I need to rethink my future.
