The Brown family and I have recently suffered a sudden loss. Our father Bennie Brown. Has lost the good fight to cancer. As this loss has impacted us suddenly. I’d like to share a few profound thoughts on our experience during a time such as this. You see our family was simply not prepared for what transpired. In fact we were in faith of complete restoration. As Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and not seen. We all were in faith and one accord that This Too would pass. His word never changes restoration would occur just not as we intended. God has proven his intentionality and his will is ever present. Though we are in mourning, we are at peace. Knowing that he is in a better place, his time with us has simply expired. You see my father lead a complex life. Though he wasn’t the father he may have planned to be. He would become someone Greater in his last few months. In what would be his last acts on earth. He would reconcile with those closest he hurt. As Forgiveness cannot be experienced without reconciliation first. We would all experience forgiveness and he would recommit his life to God. Though still in the rough, he would be a nurturer to his grandchildren and show love, gratitude, joy, peace and understanding. All these things would be added unto him as well as his children. In those final months a son would be given the opportunity to honor his father through servitude. The Browns and he just simply ran out of time. One thing is for certain, we are all guaranteed to run out of time. If you plant a seed to assist our family, it will be for the home going celebration of the saved. It is our prayer that time not evade you. That as God spoke it, so it was, and it is so with every breath that we take. That we may gain an understanding that as we where formed from the ground we stand. Tomorrow was never promised to anyone. Salvation can be experienced by us all, and the promises are Yes and Amen! From our family to yours we love you, appreciate you, and give thanks. Without you this home going celebration is not possible. May God bless and keep each of you Always!
