Buffalo Half Marathon | May 25, 2025

Hi! My name is Brian “Goldy” Goldsmith, and on May 25th, I’ll be attempting something no one’s done before — running the Buffalo Half Marathon in full lacrosse gear to break the Guinness World Record for “Fastest Half Marathon in Lacrosse Equipment.”

But this challenge is about more than chasing records — I’m doing it to raise money for a cause close to my heart: the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.

Why This?

Because it's ridiculous.

Because it's hard.

Because it will turn heads, make people smile, and hopefully, make them donate to help animals in need.

And because every dog and cat deserves a second chance.

Where Your Donation Goes:

All funds raised will go directly to the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, supporting:

Food, medical care, and shelter for homeless pets

Adoption efforts to find forever homes

Facility improvements to give animals a better shot while they wait

The Challenge:

✔️ 13.1 miles

✔️ Full lacrosse kit (helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, jersey, shorts — the whole thing)

✔️ No shortcuts. No substitutions. Just grit and a mission to give back to Buffalo.
