Hi! I am raising money for my best friend, Callie Goike, and her sweet little family. They have really been through it this summer, starting with extreme damage to their home from the Temple Tornado in May. During this time Callie had been pregnant with baby #2 and was just starting her nesting in sweet baby Sloane's room. The room had to be completely gutted along with many others in the house. About the time that the crew was finally getting towards the end of finishing, Miss Sloane made her appearance (July 17th)! And what a grand entrance it was! She was delivered early, as mama had Covid. Soon after she was whisked away to NICU starting with low blood sugar, then discovering she has a narrowing in her intestines making it hard for her to keep milk down. They have been slowly stretching out the narrowing in her intestine but it is a long process and yet 2 weeks later, here we are and she is still in NICU working hard to go home. But there's more… Gunnar, their almost 5 year old son, started having severe stomach cramps. After 48 hours in and out of the ER, they discovered a malrotation in his intestine had twisted itself and emergency surgery was needed. This being Gunnar's second surgery for this, his first being at 3 weeks old. The surgery went smoothly and now he is in recovery in the hospital for at least a week. Callie & Chris are officially stretched as thin as possible with both kids being in the hospital. I wanted to start this fundraiser to help them with medical bills, gas, meals, and life. They are having to miss work, eat out whenever one of them can sneak away, and just live between 2 hospital rooms. Any little bit can help them. They would never admit to needing a little help, but I know they could use it. They are an amazing little family and deserve the best! Thank you for your support!
