Gordon the Wiener Dog has been diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Degenerative Disc Disease). He's been suffering with spinal pain for 6 weeks. It is believed that he has a ruptured disc in his neck. However, the last quote for just an MRI, was for $2500.  The total quote for surgery was "starting at $6000."

Of course, we are getting a second opinion from a local-ish teaching hospital for small animals.  Those estimates run in the $4000-4500 range.  Either way, we are preparing to give Gordon everything he needs, whatever the cost.
