GoFundPiper Help Piper Get the Surgery She Needs

Piper is 6 years old and has a rapidly growing tumor near her anus. Due to how quickly it’s developing, her veterinarian has recommended surgery as soon as possible. Even with insurance, the estimated cost is over $2.5k.

I always joke that Piper is my “anxiety dog” because she gives me anxiety but the truth is, she’s done the exact opposite. Piper has been with me through the darkest seasons of my life and helped pull me out of my deepest depressions.

When I couldn’t get out of bed, she was there.

When I went on daily walks, she was there to protect me.

When my heart was broken over and over again, she was there.

She is more than a dog to me. Piper is my soul dog.

6-years ago, when I was struggling, I used to visit the shelter on my worst days. One day, eight black German Shepherd puppies were all dumped. One by one, they were adopted… all except one.

Piper.

She was the runt of the litter and didn’t trust anyone, which is likely why she was left behind. But something about her kept pulling me back. I visited her every day, slowly earning her trust, until one day she finally let me hold her. That’s when I knew she was mine.

I borrowed $50 from Sierra(my sister) brought her home, and that was the beginning of everything.

Now, she needs me the way I once needed her.
