This past weekend, as a 15-year-old sophomore Paige placed second at the California State Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in the 18 and under division and third in the 16 and under division.
This makes her the first girl in Ventura history to qualify for the Junior National Tournament, which will be held in Fargo, North Dakota this July. She is also hoping to represent California on the Cadet National Duals Team in Indiana.
However, getting there is not cheap. There is a $3,500 fee just to attend Fargo, which covers the flight, housing, food, uniforms and the weeklong camp leading up to the trip. The National Duals trip costs an additional $1,500. These are tremendous opportunities, but there is no way she can afford to attend on her own, so she needs your help.
If you have ever had the opportunity to meet Paige, you know she's a great kid with a great personality. Her accomplishments in wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are equaled only by her academics at Ventura High School, where she has a perfect 4.2 GPA.
Paige spends every day at school, finishing with a wrestling practice at Ventura High School before she goes to the gym to lift weights and condition for two hours before heading to another wrestling practice at Beat the Streets in Oxnard. Weekends are spent competing or training throughout Southern California.
Some highlights of her first two years of wrestling include:
- 2 Year Varsity Letter Winner
- Team Captain as a Sophomore
- 2x League Finalist (2026 League Champion and MVP)
- 2x CIF Placer (2026 3rd; 2025 6th)
- 2x Masters Qualifier
- High School Varsity Record: 84-30 (61 Pins)
- 3x State Freestyle Placer
The sky is the limit on her potential with enough resources. Please consider giving if you can. Every little bit helps!
