Hi friends. Kim H, Greg, Rich B and I are trying to gather funds to help our buddy Roland and his wife.

Roland and his family are working diligently and vigilantly through issues associated with his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis earlier this year. ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It is often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

At this writing (8/6/23) our buddy Roland is in the hospital with pneumonia. He is on puree food now and it is contemplated that he will be on a feeding tube prior to upcoming surgery.

Upon leaving the hospital he will have a bipap machine, cough assist, and suction. He is also hoping to acquire an electric wheelchair.

The family needs to pay for caregivers to help now. The objective here is to raise $20,000 subject to change based on caregiving costs. Right now we are contemplating working with Visiting Angels so he can stay at home as much as possible.
