Rocio Vazquez

Concepcion “Rocio” Vazquez was a mother of two little girls, an aunt, a sister, a loving daughter and an amazing friend. She was the sweetest and most cheerful person ever but God gave her a rough life. From a young age she suffered from a kidney disease which had her attending dialysis 3 times a week. Having to endure hours of blood transfusions and having needles poked in her every week gave her excruciating pain. Yet, she never gave up because she knew that God would bless her with a kidney one day. On November 24, 2020 her prayers were heard and she was blessed with a healthy kidney. God gave her a second chance at life and precious time at a new chapter in her life that she would have with her little girls and family. Unfortunately, she never got the chance to have that. Shortly after getting her kidney transplant, she was hospitalized on December 14, 2020 after testing positive for COVID-19. God gives the toughest battles to His most strongest soldiers and Rocio was definitely one of His strongest soldiers. Despite all efforts, after nearly 2 months, she lost her battle to COVID. Heaven gained another angel on February 3, 2021. The virus scarred her lungs to the point of no return and the healthy kidney that she prayed for every night slowly stopped functioning. 

No matter how much pain life handed her, she managed to always keep a smile on her face. She lived everyday like it was her last and she always worked hard to provide for her young daughters. She lit up every room she walked into with her joy and positivity. She had the most beautiful soul
