A Better Home for Motiv
Many of you know the toll COVID 19 has taken on small businesses — especially dance studios. We’ve watched many close permanently and our heart breaks for them.
After 3 months of being forced to close our doors, this has equaled zero revenue. We’ve toiled with this and have had moments where we just wanted to give up. But when we think about the dancers of this community, the kids, the progress, the culture that has been created, and the great need Orlando has right now for an outlet like Motiv, we just can’t let go.
After 2 dancers were robbed at gun point in our parking lot one evening, we realized we needed to be in a safer location. When the virus struck, we also realized the need to be in a bigger space to accommodate dancers and social distancing, properly.
We’ve been SO LUCKY to find just that! We now have a studio double in size, in one of the nicest/safest areas in Central Florida! Corona virus turned out to be a blessing in disguise, and just what we needed to propel the move to a better home.
The goal is to resume class/crew come July. We’ve emptied our savings and scraped every last penny we have to start fresh, but we can’t do it alone. Here’s where you come in! We need our community to pull together and help us get to the finish line. With your donations, we can complete the dance floor, and all the little odds and ends that add up so quickly with a new build out. Please know that NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL! Every $5, $10, and $20 helps us get closer to our goal!
You will have a big, beautiful new studio to dance in, when we return, and you can take pride in knowing you had a hand in building this community space! The floor will truly be yours!
