Mistletoe and Me
At the time of writing, I am a 42 year old nurse of 20 years, who’s life definitely did not begin at 40. Here I am almost 3 years later, having just been diagnosed with incurable metastatic breast cancer, which has reportedly spread to my lymph nodes and onto my clavicle.
Before we begin, I would like to state clearly that the word “incurable” refers to the belief of the Oncologist whom devised my first treatment pathway. It does not in any way refer to any personal beliefs I have of my own about this cancer. Despite moments of doubt and moments of fear I believe this cancer is curable. I have known from day 1 that I am not dying and can assure you that I will be getting better, and furthermore since the day I was diagnosed “getting better” is all I think about. I just need a little help … well actually quite a lot as it goes…. Please see my facebook page
