Huntingtons Disease & CPTSD treatment

Donation protected

Hello Everyone!

My name is Ashley Evans and I am 30 years of age and I have a daughter Adrianna who is a 12 years old and my husband Tom. I am a health and fitness coach with Beachbody, baker, and a homeschooling mom.  I am also studying to become a certified Nutritionist and CPT.

My mother was diagnosed with a fatal neurological disease called Huntington’s Disease. Many people are unaware of what this is. It is Parkinson’s, ALS, and Alzheimer’s all mixed into one nasty disease. Over the course of a year, I saw her go from barely talking to a vegetable, shaking around constantly and needing to be strapped down to a wheel chair because of her jerks, being fed baby food, in diapers and not able to take a shower or brush her hair. She had full care from a neurological hospital up until she passed.

The question ate at me, “Could I have this”? I just had to find out. I had watched as she lived a nightmare, and I didn’t want to live it myself. I had my genes tested and sure enough I had it. I saw first hand what it looked like. It is not something I might get, or I can prevent. There is also no cure. It is a mutation in my genes that were passed down from her.

My mother was 40 when it activated and by 50 she was gone.

I am 30 years old and have been struggling to survive all this time with anxiety, depression CPTSD and PCOS. I have just now after YEARS of medication testing, been able to live my life with a little bit better quality, but I am still struggling.  The depression shield that has been over my eyes is starting to lift…thanks to Ketamine therapy, and IOP.

I have recently gone to residential CPTSD trauma treatment, which we had to apply for a medical loan just to get me there. We are still paying that off, and in the meantime I have found relief with Ketamine Therapy- something that helps with CPTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, pain, etc. Unfortunately it is NOT covered by insurance, and our familys savings is drained because of the cost of treatment. Each session is $400. My goal is to have 1 treatment a week so I can keep my mental health stable.

I feel robbed, and cheated out of my life  between my traumas over the years, being diagnosed with a fatal neurological disease - Huntingtons Disease, never feeling good, and my mental health spiraling often.  I so desperately want to take it back and create memories with my husband and daughter.

If anyone is interested making a donation, it would be so greatly appreciated. Every bit of help will make a difference.

Sincerely,

Ashley, Tom, and Adrianna
