Help Nathan Heal From Bladder Cancer

Hi, my name is Theresa Cowan and I am fundraising to help my dear husband Nathan Cowan.

About 2 months ago, Nathan started having lower back pain as well as severe pain when going to the bathroom, so he went to Urgent Care. He initially thought that maybe he had a UTI and kidney stones but that turned out not to be the case. An initial Ultrasound and subsequent CT Scan and Cystoscopies revealed a 3.5 cm cancerous mass in his bladder which is blocking his right ureter and causing fluid backup into the kidney. 

The tumor discovery was heart breaking news for our entire family. My husband, the love of my life, is a wonderful father to our 3 children ages 12, 6 and 3 and is also our sole provider. He is the foundation to our world and I want to do everything possible to help him heal and recover during this challenging season.

Despite his pain, he still wakes up and takes our oldest daughter to school and shows up to work every day. His work requires him to sit for hours and he has been struggling to keep up with his work due to his pain. 

Nathan is doing treatments in Irvine, CA with Cancer Center for Healing. Many of the treatments aren’t covered by medical insurance so we are needing to raise funds for these treatments. 

I pray that God will bring our family support and relief so he can heal.
