I'm reaching out today for a little bit of help getting up to date with my  medical bill and rental payments and other financial obligations. I'm doing so because I dislocated my shoulder in July and have not been able to work in 4 months, which has depleted what was left of my savings after covid impacted my small landscaping business. My doctor and I had hoped the shoulder would heal on its own, but I sustained more nerve damage than we anticipated and there a chance I'm going to need surgery. I've got good insurance, but the deductible is still sobering. I've been running my small business for 20 years, relying mainly on my own labor. 

I'm also an artist and I'm sending this note from my studio because this is where I most passionately and creatively engage with my concerns as a human. I'd prefer to raise the money I need from proceeds through the sale of my work. In that spirit I would like to offer a print of my work to anyone donating $50.00 or more. Update: I'm deeply moved by everyone's generosity. On the recommendation of a friend who is encouraging me to be fully realistic, I'm raising my fundraising goal to $13,000 in the hopes of meeting the vast majority of my medical expenses and other financial obligations.
