Help Hugo The Paralysed Kitten

Hugo was born on 10/09/20.  He was happy living with his mum and siblings and their loving family but unfortunately at the beginning of October he had an accident that resulted in him being paralysed from the waist down. 

He has come to us as as a foster as his family were unable to offer him the care that he needs. He is a playful, mischievous bundle of fun and loves attacking anything that moves.  He has no use of his back legs as you will see from the videos and although he can control his bladder, this is not consistent at present. He tries his best to move around but he cannot really clean himself which is something we all know cats like doing, we are however helping him with things he cannot do.

Hugo needs to have some diagnostic tests such as, a spinal x-ray and potentially an MRI scan to find out exactly what damage has been done.  After this there may be further tests and physio but until we get him diagnosed it is a case of how long is a piece of string. Early treatment is vital in disabled cases. We have someone who has experience with disabled cats who will assist with his care when they can so any donations received will travel on Hugo's journey with him.  

All we know is that this gorgeous boy deserves the best chance at living his best life.
