My name is Samantha Erwin and this fundraiser is for my niece Aliyah. On April 11th, when Aliyah was 8 days old she began breathing rapidly and was rushed to the ER where they discovered a heart defect and life flighted her to OHSU. When they got there they found out that she had 4 heart defects and Aliyah underwent open heart surgery at 12 days old. She was recovering this week and then the doctors found that she had a blood clot in her leg. Following more scans and tests doctors have determined Aliyah has suffered multiple strokes and now doctors are monitoring her heart and brain so there is no continual damage.  
During this heartbreaking time, my sister Trish and her husband Darrell  will be staying in Portland with Aliyah while also traveling to and from Redmond for their three other children. This fundraiser will help with medical expenses and travel support.
