Many people who know my mom, Silvia Rueda Botello, can say that she is a very talkative, humorous, charismatic and giving human being. She is always looking out for others and loves to make people feel special in any way she can. With more than 25 years in the radio industry, she has entertained and touched people’s hearts with her outgoing personality and continues to follow her passion of radio broadcasting.
On Thursday August 9th2018 at around 3:00am, My mom, Silvia, woke up to use the restroom. As she returned to bed, she suddenly felt her left arm go numb. She woke up my dad and tried to tell him that she could not feel her arm. My dad immediately realized that she was struggling to say what she was feeling. He rushed my mom to the emergency room at Rancho Springs medical center, in Murrieta, where they determined she had a stroke. Fortunately, the stroke did not cause any damage to her brain. The doctor informed us that once the swelling in her brain reduces and with physical therapy, her facial muscles and strength will go back to normal.
Unfortunately, Silvia does not have medical insurance and since she will have to go through 12 weeks of physical therapy and will be out of work, we do not want her financial situation to cause more stress that she does not need. We are asking for any donations to help cover my mom’s medical expenses and future physical therapy for her to have a speedy and successful recovery.

Con más de 25 años en la industria de la radio, ha entretenido y tocado los corazones de muchos con su personalidad extrovertida y continua a seguir su pasión de la radiodifusión.
El jueves 9 de agosto de 2018 a las 3:00am, mi mama, Silvia, se despertó para usar el baño. Cuando regreso a su cama, de repente sintió que su brazo se entumecía. Despertó a mi papa y trato de explicarle que no podía sentir su brazo. Mi papa inmediatamente se dio cuenta que estaba esforzando hablar. En eso, mi papa la llevo rápidamente al hospital de Rancho Springs Medical Center en Murrieta donde determinaron que tuvo un embolia Afortunadamente, el accidente no causo ningún daño a su cerebro. La neuróloga nos informó que en cuento la hinchazón se reduce y con terapia física, sus músculos faciales y su fuerza volverán a la normalidad.
Desafortunadamente, Silvia no tiene seguro médico y ya que ella tendrá que pasar por 12 semanas de terapia física y no estará trabajando, no queremos que su situación financiera cause más estrés. Estamos pidiendo cualquiera donación para ayudar a cubrir los gastos médicos y su terapia física de mi madre para que tenga una recuperación rápida y exitosa.
