Hello I’m Charlie I’m Starting a GoFundMe for Roy Elston, who is fighting liver cancer. The doctors had known about this since January 2025, but Roy wasn’t told until June/July, after it was unfortunately overlooked and not mentioned, which is never ideal.

Roy has been a big face in the film industry, working as a rigger for many years. He has always been known as a tough man, and he wants to fight this properly — so if he shows that resilience and is prepared to make lifestyle changes there’s no reason he can’t get results in beating this.

Roy has kept this diagnosis quiet, only telling those close to him, but is now looking for some support as he’s been out of work for a while, and any help would make a real difference on the journey ahead.

Roy has started immunotherapy and is experiencing some difficult side effects, including sleep issues and discomfort. Alongside this, he wants to support his body with natural approaches, a healthier diet, and lifestyle changes to improve comfort and energy. Nothing is guaranteed in this world, but with the right support alongside feeling stronger and more comfortable, Roy gives himself the best chance.
