GoFundMe For Omar Morales Heart Condition & Medical Expenses
Open letter to my dear friend Omar
My name is Alvin M. Rosa, and my goal with this GoFundMe campaign is to assist my dear friend and brother Omar with his unexpected medical expenses.
I am grateful for everything you have done for me previously. I will never forget the time you helped me. When I first arrived in Utah, your brother and sister were also there to assist me in getting settled in. I'll never forget the times we spent working, playing games, coming up with concepts for the next big thing, and sometimes even doing stupid things together. To me, it was all worth it. You are always in my thoughts and have been truly a dear friend.
I was really inspired to get to where I am today by watching your siblings' enthusiasm for self-improvement and pro-life causes. That drive to improve oneself, to be a part of bigger things, and to assist the less fortunate. You are the kind of person who would assist the strongest or most vulnerable elderly person attempting to cross the street. I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend many more significant events in your life. At times, it has been the distance. I can recall the first time you actually started building your house yourself. On Facebook, I saw pictures of the progress. The level of dedication you have shown to putting your family first was truly captivating. I congratulate you on all of your accomplishments; they have brought you a lot of good, albeit possibly some current difficulties. You have been so consistent at work that the pressures of life have brought us here.
Omar has recently informed me that he is facing a significant obstacle. He is no longer able to take care of himself the way he used to because he has been told he has heart disease. When I heard this news, I realized I had to do something to help. As a result, I've decided to start a GoFundMe account to help cover Omar's medical bills. Additionally, I ask my friends, family, and anyone else who reads this pledge. Please be of assistance to my brother Omar. This man's inability to work with his hands and take care of his family has been impacted by unintended consequences that are, by their very nature, detrimental to his ability to do so.
The Cause: Heart attack and heart failure
To determine the state of his heart, doctors have carried out all necessary procedures. His doctor has told him his heart is working at a capacity of only 25%. This is detrimental to your overall health for obvious reasons and can lead to other symptoms like shortness of breath dizziness overwhelming feeling and feeling of impending doom. Research shows the heart is not pumping all the oxygen-rich blood the body needs. The blood that is not ejected from the ventricle can back up into the lungs and cause shortness of breath. If your ejection fraction is less than 40%, your heart may be failing because it is not pumping enough blood. A low ejection fraction number can be a sign of heart failure, which may not initially cause symptoms but can eventually result in a variety of them, including shortness of breath.
Diagnosis: Omar’s Heart Health
Diagnosis ideally, a health care provider should look for heart attack risk factors during routine checkups.
In most cases, a heart attack is diagnosed in an emergency situation. Caretakers will treat your condition right away if you've had or are having a heart attack. You may be asked about your symptoms and medical history if you are able to answer.
A heart attack is diagnosed by measuring the patient's temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. The purpose of the tests is to assess the state of the heart as a whole and its rate of beat. In Omar’s case, doctors did an extensive diagnosis and ran multiple if not all the tests available within the medical terminology field. According to the leading institute of medicine and Medical Treatment the Mayo Clinic the following tests can be used to diagnose a heart attack:
ECG or EKG is an electrocardiogram. Electrical signals are recorded as they travel through the heart during this initial test to diagnose a heart attack. The chest, and occasionally the arms and legs, are attached to sticky patches (electrodes). Waves are used to record signals and can be seen on a screen or printed on paper. A heart attack can be diagnosed with an electrocardiogram (ECG).
Blood test. After heart attack damage, certain heart proteins slowly leak into the blood. These proteins, also known as cardiac markers, can be detected through blood tests.
MRI of the chest the condition and size of the heart and lungs are shown on a chest X-ray.
Echocardiogram. Images of the heart's movement are created by sound waves (ultrasound). The flow of blood through the heart and its valves can be demonstrated with this test. An echocardiogram can help determine whether your heart has been damaged in one area.
A procedure known as coronary catheterization. A long, thin catheter, or catheter, is inserted into a leg artery and directed to the heart. The arteries are made to appear more clearly on test images by dye flowing through the catheter.
CT or MRI of the heart. Images of the heart and chest are produced by these tests. X-rays are used in cardiac CT scans. Radio waves and a magnetic field are used in cardiac MRI to produce images of your heart. You typically lie on a table that slides inside a long, tube-like machine for both tests. Heart problems can be diagnosed with any test. They can assist in illustrating the extent of heart damage.
