Hi, my name is Dawn Cohen...this is so far beyond anything I've ever imagined, but I was taught by my parents that when you need help, you ASK FOR IT. There are few things more devastating than receiving a diagnosis that threatens your life. For my husband, Henry E. Cohen, this has become a reality. Henry was recently diagnosed with a heart condition that requires a transplant to survive. The cost of the operation and aftercare is astronomical, and we are struggling to come up with the necessary funds. That’s where you come in. Let’s all come together and help Henry get the heart transplant he needs and deserves to live a long and healthy life. Henry is a 68-year-old man who has been fighting for his life for the past year. In March 2020, he was diagnosed with heart disease however recently, he was told that he would need a heart transplant to survive. Henry has been in and out of the hospital ever since, undergoing various treatments to keep him alive while he waits for a heart donor to be found.
Henry is a devoted husband and a long-time member of Eastway Church of God in Charlotte North Carolina. He is a hardworking man who has always provided for his family and never asked for anything in return. However, the cost of his medical treatment and care has been a huge financial burden on our family. Henry has had to take time off work, and I have been non-stop working and visiting him in the hospital.
Despite the difficulties, Henry and I remain hopeful. We are determined to stay positive and fight for his life. This is why we have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of his heart transplant and ongoing medical care. I am reaching out to the community for support and am grateful for any help that can be given.

Moreover, the cost of a heart transplant is not a one-time expense – there are ongoing expenses associated with monitoring and maintaining the transplanted heart. For example, the cost of anti-rejection medications can range from $1,000 to $4,000 per month, and these medications are required for the rest of the patient's life.
In the case of Henry, he needs a heart transplant, and we are struggling to bear the financial burden of the procedure. I have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Henry's heart transplant, and any amount donated will be of great help to us.
