On December 13, 2022, David's wife, Jade, went into the hospital for what they thought would be a routine, outpatient gallbladder surgery. Instead, the doctors discovered that Jade had a very rare, aggressive cancer that was ravaging her body. Jade passed away on December 31, 2022, only 2.5 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.

Jade was only 52 years old when she passed away. She leaves behind David, the "love of her life" for the past 31 years, their son, Maxwell, who will turn 12 years next week, and her mom, who has resided with them for the past two years. In just 2.5 weeks, the Camaras have gone from being a two-income household to a one-income household. While nothing can ease the heartbreak and the pain we feel from her sudden passing, the funds for this GoFundMe will be used to help David with immediate expenses as he tries to get through the most difficult, unimaginable time.
