My name is Alex, and I am reaching out for help for myself and my mom, Pam Ulloa. She has been a single mom since I was six years old, raising me on her own without any support from my dad. My mom is my rock, my best friend, and the person I love most in this world. She is a doctor with a passion for helping others, and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked tirelessly, missing birthdays and holidays to care for patients and their families. Her dedication and hard work have always inspired me—she truly is an angel walking on this earth.

In June 2025, while working as a doctor on a cruise ship, my mom suddenly became very ill. She was sent home to Texas after tests showed something was seriously wrong. Since then, she has been undergoing frequent treatments and tests, but her health continued to decline. On December 31st, she began having severe trouble breathing, and by January, we had to rush her to the emergency room. She was immediately admitted to the ICU, where her test results showed dangerously low levels in her kidneys, lungs, and hemoglobin. Despite multiple treatments, surgeries, and daily plasma transfusions, the doctors are still searching for answers. It’s been overwhelming to see my mom, who has always been the caregiver, now fighting for her own life.

The medical bills are already extremely high, and she is unable to work. We are struggling to cover her ongoing treatments, our living expenses, and my tuition at Baylor University, where I am majoring in Health Science Studies on the Pre-med track. My dream is to follow in my mom’s footsteps and become a doctor so I can help others the way she has. Any help you can give—whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or sharing our story—would mean the world to us. We are forever grateful for your support during this difficult time.
